Community Living Program (CLP) is an independent living program that supports people who live in their own home in the evolving process of learning daily living skills. Individuals receiving skills instruction in CLP live successfully without daily support. The focus is targeted to learning more in depth skills in the areas of cooking, cleaning, shopping, menu planning and preparation, money management, public transportation, personal health, self-advocacy training, use of health services, and safety in the home and community. Individuals are usually eligible for between ten and fifteen hours of support per month. This support service is tailored to the unique needs of individuals to provide help only in the areas they need.
